to be god is to create.
To be god is to create, and the most important thing you can create, if you'd try enough, is yourself.
I recently on Instagram, stumbled on a clip with more nuance than most of the philosophically-leaned movies i've seen. A video of Kanye West and his mom, Donda. Kanye had landed a huge deal after bouts of failure, and the following two-liner was part of the conversation between his mom and him:
"Can you believe it?" he asked his mom, referencing the deal he'd just signed.
"Only as much as you do," she responded, coyly.
The idea here is simple: people who would do great thing, first must expect it of themselves. There's Jordan's nerve-wracking self-belief. Lionel Messi and Kobe Bryant, too, prompting the world to watch-out even when they were still nothing.
The world will consider you arrogant, you see, but if you happen to have a mother, like kanye did, who tells you "arrogance is in the eyes of the beholder," there's almost no way you wouldn't bend the world to your will.
Third worlds, especially, do not respect brilliant introverts. So find a mentor, if you're super-gifted but shy, so they'd help navigate the inevitable political bits. Or you'd forever languish in anonymity.
Or you better still, can just become your own salvation. Repeat a truth you believe, enough, and hone your articulation, till it'd like Churchill's, be worth a regiment.
One day you'll take power and the truth will be whatever you make of it.
